Commercial Litigation Associate

I'm partnered with a firm who are renowned players in the market for their Litigation and Bankruptcy practices whilst also having strong corporate, hedge fund, and venture capital practices that anchor them when the economy is robust. They have around 8 offices across the US and UK and over 200 Lawyers. They work in cross collaboration and are a tight knit firm and they're looking for a Commercial Litigation Associate who wants to join a team like this. Ideally, they are looking for someone in Washington D.C. with 4-5 years of experience within the Commercial Litigation space with either exposure or an interest in areas such as cryptocurrency, corporate governance disputes, business divorces, and insurance coverage matters as these will be the main areas they will interact with. What's in it for you? · They operate with lean teams, meaning you will get a lot of exposure from day one but also the development process will be a lot quicker than within a lot of firms · Once you're in your 7th year you are eligible for partnership track · 1800 billable hours + 150 hours of pro bono, marketing, business development Overview of the role: · Conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, handling written discovery · Taking and defending depositions, and working on trial preparation and support · Working across multiple areas of complex commercial litigation What they're looking for: · 4-5 years of Commercial Litigation experience · Must be barred in Washington D.C. · Outstanding academics · Ideal if you had experience with defense and plaintiff but not essential The team advises a broad client base on complex, high-stake matters in a fast-moving setting.
