Structured Finance Associate

An AmLaw Top 50 firm are looking to build out their Structured Finance team in New York. Due to the amount of work they have been taking on, this growth role is integral to the practice. This team has experience structuring and executing complex structured finance and securitization transactions involving all major asset classes. They represent every type of market participant, including lenders, borrowers, issuers, underwriters, servicers, trustees, rating agencies, custodians amongst others. What's in it for you? - Working alongside Chambers ranked Partners with extensive knowledge and experience across the market - Lean team with about 10 people sitting in the New York office, they tend to work on a 1-1 ratio giving Associates exposure and a client of interaction - Mentorship is very important at Alston and there is a clear route to Partnership if this is something you're striving for long term - Working for one of the largest structure finance platforms in the country - Cravath scale pay What would the role involve? - Representing lenders, borrowers, issuers or other market participants in mortgage finance and structured finance transactions - Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and managing transactions involving repurchase agreements, warehouse credit agreements and other secured lending facilities - Will be taking a significant role in transactions execution, including coordinating deals teams and working directly with clients What are they looking for? - Must be barred in New York - Either 4-6 years of experience for Associate level or 6+ years for Senior Associate/Counsel - Having had experience representing lenders, borrowers, issuers in relation to mortgage finance or structured finance transactions - Specific experience in warehouse and repurchase facilities and securitizations would be beneficial - Excellent academic credentials This is genuinely a really compelling opportunity for someone looking for a long-term route to partnership, close working relationships with clients, and to work for a top platform alongside Chambers ranked Partners.
