Planning Solicitor | National Law Firm | Leeds BCL Legal is pleased to be working with a highly regarded national law firm seeking to recruit a Planning Solicitor to join its established and growing team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking practice with a strong reputation in the Yorkshire market and a national client base. The planning team forms part of a wider, full-service real estate offering and is regularly instructed on complex and high-profile development projects. The firm acts for a broad range of clients including national housebuilders, developers, promoters, landowners, local authorities and commercial occupiers. The Role You will advise on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious planning matters, including: · Section 106 agreements and highways agreements · Planning appeals and enforcement matters · Judicial review and statutory challenges · Strategic land and large-scale residential development · Environmental and compulsory purchase matters · Providing planning support on corporate and real estate transactions The team is known for its collaborative approach and works closely with colleagues across real estate, construction and environmental disciplines to deliver commercially focused advice. The Candidate The firm is keen to speak with Planning Solicitors at NQ-5 PQE (although candidates outside this range with relevant experience are encouraged to apply). You will have gained solid planning experience at a recognised regional, national or City practice and demonstrate strong technical ability alongside a commercial, client-focused approach.
