Real Estate Professional Development Lawyer | 7+ PQE | Competitive Salary | Leading National Law Firm | Nottingham | Hybrid Working | Full Time / Flexible BCL Legal is pleased to be partnering with a leading national law firm in the recruitment of a Professional Development Lawyer (PDL) to support its well-established Real Estate team in Nottingham. The Role As part of the firm's Knowledge Management function, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the technical strength and knowledge-sharing capabilities of the Real Estate team. Working closely with partners, lawyers, and innovation specialists, your responsibilities will include: · Acting as a go-to contact for technical real estate queries across the team · Managing and developing the firm's suite of precedents and know-how materials · Creating and delivering training sessions, workshops, and knowledge initiatives · Keeping the team up to date with legal and regulatory developments in property law · Assisting with complex drafting and technical issues · Promoting best practice and consistency across the Real Estate group · Collaborating with innovation specialists to integrate legal tech and AI tools into workflows · Supporting the digital transformation of property processes to drive efficiency · Producing internal briefings, updates, and thought leadership content You will be instrumental in ensuring the team remains technically excellent, commercially aware, and forward-looking. About You To be considered for this role, you will have: · Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales with 7+ years' PQE in real estate · Strong technical expertise in commercial property law and regulation · Experience gained within a private practice real estate team · A genuine interest in knowledge management, training, and innovation · Excellent drafting skills and the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly · Strong research capabilities, with familiarity with platforms such as Practical Law and Westlaw · Confidence using legal technology and Microsoft Office tools · Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities · Excellent communication and presentation abilities · A collaborative and proactive approach Previous experience in a PDL or PSL role would be beneficial but is not essential.
