An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Education Solicitor to join a highly regarded national Public Law & Human Rights team, based in either Birmingham or Sheffield.
This is a standout role for a solicitor with 2-8 years' PQE and strong experience in education law, particularly SEND Tribunal work, looking to take the next step within a well-established and growing team.
The Role
You will handle a varied caseload of education matters, with a particular focus on SEND Tribunal appeals. From day one, you will be entrusted with your own files and encouraged to work with a high degree of autonomy, while benefiting from strong team support.
The work is both complex and rewarding, often involving supporting vulnerable clients and their families.
Key areas include:
· SEND Tribunal appeals
· School exclusions and admissions
· Disability discrimination claims
· Judicial review matters
· Complaints against local authorities and schools
· EHCP reviews and SEN strategy advice
· Education-related community care matters
There will also be opportunities to get involved in supervision, training, and business development as you progress.
The Candidate
You will be a qualified solicitor with 2-8 years' PQE and solid experience in education law. Strong SEND Tribunal experience is essential, along with the ability to manage your own caseload and a genuine commitment to client care.
