Head of Conveyancing - Tyne & Wear An established and highly regarded North East law firm is seeking a Senior Conveyancing Solicitor to lead and develop its residential property department. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and commercially minded conveyancing professional looking to take the next step into a senior leadership position within a respected regional practice. The Role You will oversee the day-to-day running of a busy conveyancing department, managing a reduced caseload alongside supervising and mentoring fee earners and support staff. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping departmental strategy, maintaining excellent client service standards, and driving business growth. Responsibilities - Managing a residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion with support - Leading, supervising, and supporting the conveyancing team - Ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk management procedures - Developing and maintaining strong client and referrer relationships - Supporting business development and departmental growth initiatives - Monitoring performance, productivity, and service delivery standards Requirements - Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or experienced Legal Executive - Proven experience handling residential conveyancing matters independently - Previous supervisory or management experience within a conveyancing team is preferred but not essential - Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills - Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment What's on Offer - Competitive salary package up to £60,000 - Bonus/incentive structure - Supportive and collaborative working environment - Genuine progression and leadership opportunity - Established client base and strong local reputation For a confidential discussion or to apply, please contact us today.
