Corporate Solicitor About the Firm: We are working in partnership with a leading regional law firm with a strong presence across the South West and Midlands. Known for its high-quality work and collegiate culture, the firm advises a wide range of corporate clients, from entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses to national companies and private equity-backed groups. With continued growth across its commercial teams, the firm is now looking to expand its Cheltenham-based Corporate offering. The Role: This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and commercially minded Corporate Solicitor (1-5 PQE) to join a thriving team within a dynamic and supportive firm. You will be involved in high-quality transactional work across a range of sectors, working alongside experienced partners and gaining hands-on client exposure from day one. Key Responsibilities: * Advising on mergers and acquisitions (share and asset sales), joint ventures, private equity, and corporate restructures * Drafting and negotiating a range of corporate documents including SPAs, shareholder agreements, and investment documents * Supporting senior fee earners on complex transactions and managing smaller deals autonomously * Advising clients on corporate governance and general company law matters * Participating in client meetings, pitches, and wider business development initiatives * Building strong working relationships across departments and office locations Requirements: * 1-5 years' post-qualification experience in corporate law gained at a respected commercial firm * Solid understanding of company law and M\&A processes * Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills * A proactive, collaborative mindset with a desire to contribute to team success * Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness * Ideally, experience working with SME clients, founders, or investors Benefits: * Competitive regional salary with clear progression opportunities * Hybrid working policy and excellent work-life balance * Structured development through mentoring, training, and secondments * High-quality client work typically found at City or national firms * Generous holiday allowance, private medical, and enhanced parental leave * Vibrant and modern Cheltenham office with regular social and networking events To apply for the position of Corporate Solicitor please contact Nicholas Fear at BCL Legal BCL Legal is an equal opportunities employer.
