Data Protection Lead - Manchester An opportunity for an experienced data protection lead to join this award winning national firm in Manchester. The Role Primarily responsible for the firms compliance with data protection and privacy law Maintaining data protection, information security and cyber security policies; Maintaining the firm's information asset register and records of processing; Acting as the internal expert on DP assisting compliance analysts with routine queries and handling more complex queries; Handling data requests Working with the IT department, particularly the cyber team, to monitor the effectiveness of the firm's information and cyber security controls; Working with all departments to identify emerging and current risks and devising and implementing a plan to mitigate the risks; Reviewing commercial agreements from a data protection perspective; Writing and delivering training courses and guidance to all departments; Research and technical advice on data protection and privacy law.
