Court of Protection Solicitor/Associate | Lancashire Are you an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor looking for an exciting opportunity to join growing department? This award winning private client team is looking to recruit a dynamic Solicitor/Associate. This is a unique chance to take ownership of a diverse caseload within the Court of Protection space, with the added responsibility of developing and expanding the firm's Court of Protection services. Whether you are looking to leverage your expertise in deputyship applications, property and affairs matters, or work linked to personal injury and clinical negligence settlements, this is the perfect platform for someone who is ambitious and passionate about the sector. You will play a crucial role in growing the firm's Court of Protection workstream, driving business development, and enhancing client relationships, all while maintaining an excellent work-life balance and working with a professional and collaborative team. Key Responsibilities: Managing a diverse caseload of Court of Protection matters, including deputyship applications, managing property and affairs, and matters linked to personal injury and clinical negligence settlements. Contribute to the growth and development of the firm's Court of Protection services and its future direction. Build and maintain relationships with clients, referrers, and other key stakeholders to enhance the firm's profile and market presence. Support the development and implementation of business growth strategies, including presentations, articles, newsletters, and submissions to Chambers and Legal 500. Provide support and guidance to other team members, including training, coaching, and mentoring junior solicitors and paralegals. Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory standards, including ISO:9001 and the SRA Code of Conduct. Manage your caseload efficiently, ensuring you meet deadlines and generate fees in line with targets. Contribute to the firm's continuous improvement initiatives and share knowledge across departments. About You: A qualified Solicitor (or CILEX equivalent) with at least 4 years PQE in a specialist Court of Protection department/team. Demonstrable experience handling a wide range of Court of Protection matters and a strong understanding of the sector. Proven track record of business development and an interest in growing your practice area. Strong client care skills with the ability to provide expert legal advice and develop strong client relationships. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with clients, referrers, and colleagues effectively. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and ethical standards. Good knowledge of IT systems, including Word, Outlook, and case management systems. Why Join the Firm?
