Intellectual Property Associate | Leading City Firm | 3+ PQE Are you a qualified solicitor with a passion for Intellectual Property law? Ready to take your next step in a dynamic and collaborative IP team with a strong sector presence in life sciences, technology, retail, and energy? A rare opportunity to join a specialist Intellectual Property team has arisen, which offers an exciting and strategic career move for an ambitious Associate looking to build their expertise in a high-quality, client-facing role. The Opportunity Focusing on non-contentious Intellectual Property matters, supporting complex transactions where IP is a key commercial asset. Working alongside experienced IP specialists, advising a diverse client base that spans pharmaceuticals, technology, retail, and oil & gas. Advising on the full spectrum of IP rights-including trade marks, copyright, database rights, patents, and confidential information-as well as broader media issues such as advertising law and online content disputes. Advising on and negotiating a wide range of IP-focused commercial agreements, including licensing, franchising, and R&D collaborations. Drafting and reviewing IP provisions in complex M&A, JV, consultancy, and employment arrangements. Supporting high-value transactions where IP portfolios are a core asset, especially in the pharmaceuticals and tech industries. Conducting IP audits, due diligence exercises, and advising clients on portfolio strategy and protection. Collaborating with colleagues across Corporate, Employment, Commercial Litigation, and other specialist practice areas. Maintaining and developing strong client relationships, including participation in marketing and business development initiatives. Requirements UK-qualified solicitor with 3+ years' post-qualification experience in non-contentious IP. Proven track record in advising on IP-heavy transactions, ideally including M&A and licensing arrangements. Excellent drafting skills and commercial acumen. Enthusiastic, collaborative, and client-focused approach. Strong academic credentials and the ability to manage files independently with minimal supervision. Why Apply?
