Commercial Practice Innovation Lead Are you a qualified lawyer with a passion for innovation and the evolving role of legal technology in modern practice? This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking international law firm as Commercial Practice Innovation Lead - a newly created position at the heart of the firm's award-winning Innovation & Legal Technology function. This role is ideal for a commercially minded solicitor or legal professional who understands the pressures and complexities of transactional and advisory work, and who wants to play a leading role in driving change, efficiency, and innovation across one of the firm's most dynamic practice groups. The Role As Practice Innovation Lead, you will act as the key link between the firm's lawyers and its central Innovation & Legal Technology team. You'll work closely with partners, associates, and business leaders within the Corporate & Commercial Group - the firm's largest and most diverse division - to identify opportunities for improvement, implement new legal tech tools, and embed innovative working practices. You will: - Build strong relationships with lawyers across Corporate, Commercial, Competition, Tax, Pensions, Real Estate Investment, Financial Regulation, and related teams. - Lead engagement initiatives to understand workflow challenges and identify practical innovation opportunities. - Deliver tailored training and support to enhance the adoption and effective use of legal technology tools. - Implement and manage change initiatives, tracking adoption and measuring ROI to demonstrate impact and value. - Collaborate with colleagues across the wider Innovation Group to share best practice and deliver firmwide improvement projects. About You - 5+ years' experience in Corporate, Commercial, or a related practice area within a law firm or in-house environment. - Strong understanding of legal processes, workflows, and client service expectations in transactional and advisory matters. - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility across senior levels. - A proactive, problem-solving mindset with genuine enthusiasm for technology and innovation in legal practice. - Experience in legal project management, change management, or technology implementation would be an advantage but not essential - You may currently in a similar innovation role or a practising commercial solicitor looking to transition into a strategic role This is a unique opportunity to join a leading international law firm renowned for its progressive approach to legal innovation, develop your expertise in legal technology, process improvement, and change management and work within a collaborative and supportive culture that values new ideas and continuous improvement.
