An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate or Managing Associate to join a market-leading Financial Services Disputes and Investigations practice at a highly regarded UK law firm.
This role will appeal to ambitious litigation lawyers looking to take the next step in their career within a top-tier financial services disputes team, recognised for the quality, scale and complexity of its work outside of London.
The Opportunity
You will be working with an impressive client base that includes major clearing banks, building societies, challenger and digital banks, international institutions, payment service providers and receivers.
You will be working on a broad and sophisticated range of contentious financial services matters, including:
- High-value and complex banking litigation
- Professional negligence and investment disputes
- Regulatory investigations and fraud matters
- Trade finance disputes and international litigation
- Secured lending, receivership and reputationally sensitive claims
The Role
As a Senior / Managing Associate, you will play a key role in delivering strategic and commercially focused advice to clients, while also contributing to the wider development of the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Running a varied and high-quality caseload of financial services litigation matters
- Advising clients on complex disputes and claims, often alongside senior colleagues and partners
- Supervising and mentoring associates, trainees and paralegals
- Supporting business development initiatives and client engagement activities.
About You
This role is suited to a UK-qualified solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) already operating at Senior Associate or Managing Associate level, or ready to step up.
Strong experience running your own caseload of financial services, banking or property litigation matters
A solid understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and the litigation process
Experience in secured lending, mortgage repossession or title rectification (desirable but not essential)
Exposure to supervising junior lawyers or an interest in developing leadership skills
