Digital & Sourcing / Commercial Technology Associate An excellent opportunity has arisen for a talented Commercial Technology Associate to join a thriving and strategically important Digital & Sourcing team within a highly regarded UK law firm. This role offers exposure to complex, high-value digital transformation, IT outsourcing and sourcing projects across both public and private sector clients. The Opportunity You will join a fast-paced and ambitious Digital & Sourcing practice that advises on major digital procurements and business transformation programmes. The team acts for clients across: Central Government, Financial Services, Insurance, Automotive, Health and Regulated sectors This is a chance to work on complex, large-scale digital and outsourcing arrangements, often involving mission-critical systems and high-value, strategically significant projects. Advise clients on the legal and commercial aspects of digital procurements, including IT, intellectual property and data protection matters Draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements including software licences, SaaS agreements, outsourcing agreements and project contracts Advise on and negotiate financial arrangements and commercial risk structures Draft and negotiate service level agreements (SLAs), service credit mechanisms and performance frameworks Advise on implementation, transition and exit arrangements (including incumbent supplier and replacement supplier scenarios) Maintain strong client relationships throughout the lifecycle of project. The successful candidate will benefit from: Direct Partner access and meaningful responsibility High-profile digital transformation mandates Cross-office collaboration with commercial and regulatory specialists Structured Learning & Development support A genuinely flexible hybrid working model About You To be successful in this role, you will: Be a UK-qualified Solicitor with 3-5 years' PQE Have trained and gained experience in a leading City or substantial regional firm Possess strong experience advising on digital procurements, IT outsourcing or business process outsourcing projects Desirable (but not essential): Exposure to financial services or insurance sector projects Knowledge of public procurement regulations Familiarity with FCA or PRA regulatory frameworks relating to critical or material outsourcing A working appreciation of digital systems and emerging technologies (including AI) This is more than a transactional role.
