Housing Management Associate / Senior Associate A leading UK law firm with a top-tier reputation in Housing Management is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its expanding Manchester office. The Opportunity The team is recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers UK directories for Housing Management, advising organisations across the housing and health sectors and has built a strong reputation for handling complex housing litigation and regulatory matters, delivering pragmatic, commercially focused advice. With a substantial and growing client base, the firm is now looking to appoint an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate Housing Solicitor to help support the continued growth of its practice in Manchester. You will be involved in varied, challenging and rewarding work, supporting housing providers and organisations that serve communities across the UK. The role offers exposure to high-profile cases and evolving regulatory issues, including matters involving Human Rights, Equality law, tenancy management and housing regulation. Key Responsibilities You will manage a varied litigation caseload and work closely with clients on a range of housing law matters. Managing the day-to-day conduct of housing litigation cases Preparing case strategies and case plans at the outset of matters Providing advice on procedural and evidential issues Gathering and assessing factual evidence to support legal proceedings Managing and supervising paralegals and support staff Attending conferences with counsel Undertaking advocacy in the County Court The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of housing management and litigation matters, including: Anti-social behaviour proceedings, Residential possession claims, Civil injunctions, Housing disrepair claims, Tenancy enforcement and recovery of possession, Complex housing matters involving Human Rights and Equality considerations and Issues arising from bankruptcy and debt relief orders in rent arrears cases To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales Experience in housing management law or civil litigation Strong knowledge of possession proceedings, ASB matters, and housing litigation Experience managing a litigation caseload Advocacy experience in the County Court (desirable) Candidates currently working in housing law, social housing litigation, or broader civil litigation who are looking to specialise further in this area are encouraged to apply.
