Commercial Professional Support Lawyer - North West A leading UK legal services provider is seeking an experienced Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join its commercial contracts and data protection practice. This is a rare opportunity for a senior commercial lawyer who enjoys working across legal expertise, knowledge management, innovation and training, and is keen to influence how legal services are delivered in a modern, forward-thinking firm. This role will appeal to solicitors looking to move away from traditional fee-earning, while remaining closely connected to high-quality legal work, clients and strategic development. The Opportunity As a Commercial PSL, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering legal knowledge across the firm. Working closely with fee-earning teams, clients and senior stakeholders, you will support legal excellence through know-how development, research, training and innovation, including hands-on exposure to AI-enabled legal tools. Key Responsibilities include: - Knowledge Management & Know-How - Research & Development - Training & Development - Client & Market Engagement About You You are likely to be: - A qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with 5+ years' PQE - Experienced in commercial contracts and data protection (public procurement knowledge beneficial but not essential) - Technically strong, commercially aware and confident working with senior stakeholders - Organised, proactive and passionate about knowledge sharing and innovation Previous experience as a Professional Support Lawyer or delivering legal training is advantageous, but not essential - this role is also well-suited to experienced fee-earners looking to transition into a PSL career path.
