We are seeking a senior commercial lawyer to join a growing Managed Legal Services (MLS) team at a pivotal stage of expansion. The Role As Legal Manager, you will be a key driver of our Commercial MLS offering, overseeing end-to-end client engagements while managing and developing a team of lawyers. You will work closely with clients to understand their business, providing practical, solution-focused advice. Leveraging global legal expertise, technology, and AI tools, you will help clients improve contract management, manage legal spend, and strengthen risk frameworks. Key Responsibilities - Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of lawyers, fostering a flexible, collaborative, and solution-oriented culture. - Take ownership of commercial MLS engagements, ensuring delivery is timely, on budget, and of the highest quality. - Drive recruitment, onboarding, and integration of new team members into MLS practices. - Contribute to the design and development of innovative MLS solutions, including scoping, pricing, and client proposals. - Collaborate with business lines and sector teams to deliver integrated client solutions, including contract optimisation initiatives. - Shape strategic planning, global resourcing models, and team capability growth. - Maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities for service enhancement. - Champion process improvement and the use of legal technology to increase efficiency and client satisfaction. - Ensure robust quality assurance and compliance across all deliverables. About You - England & Wales qualified senior Commercial Lawyer with 8+ years' PQE in private practice or in-house. - Strong technical expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts. - Experience with contract repapering or harmonisation projects is advantageous. - Comfortable using legal technology and working in a regulated environment.
