Our client is a well-established law firm with a growing financial services regulation practice based in London.
The team advises an exciting mix of clients including innovative FinTech businesses, financial institutions, and corporates navigating the UK regulatory landscape.

The role:
- As a financial services regulation solicitor, you will advise clients on complex legal and regulatory matters under FSMA, the PRA Rulebook, FCA Handbook, and related legislation.
- Your work will include perimeter and Part 4A permissions advice, authorisation and change in control applications, and product design for innovative FinTech solutions.
- You will provide expert guidance on MiFID, AIFMD, consumer credit and mortgage regulation, payment services, and open banking.
- The role involves drafting key documents, advising on remediation and regulatory engagement, and supporting corporate M&A transactions on FSMA aspects.
- You will collaborate with teams across the firm, providing financial services expertise on matters involving regulated credit, mortgages and other cross-practice issues.
- There are excellent opportunities to raise your profile through writing articles, speaking at seminars, and promoting the firm's capabilities both internally and externally.
About you:
- You will be a qualified solicitor with ideally at least four years' PQE specialising in UK financial services law and regulation.
- This is a legal role requiring deep technical knowledge of FSMA, regulatory frameworks, and cross-border financial services matters.
- Strong analytical skills, precise attention to detail, and the ability to exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment are essential.
- Excellent communication abilities are key, particularly the ability to explain complex regulatory matters to clients from diverse international backgrounds.
- You should be able to work independently whilst also collaborating effectively across teams throughout the firm.
