Legal Counsel (part time)

Part-Time Legal Counsel | Purpose-driven work | Remote or hybrid | £70-75k FTE Are you a lawyer with finance experience who wants to do meaningful work and enjoy genuine flexibility, without sacrificing variety or challenge? This is an opportunity for a Legal Counsel to join a purpose-led organisation at the forefront of financial inclusion in the UK, on a part-time basis (3 days per week). You'll work closely with a highly experienced General Counsel on innovative projects - from lending and guarantees to equity investments and procurement - while helping to shape and grow the legal function. This is a hands-on and varied role where you'll: · Draft and negotiate loan agreements and guarantees. · Improve templates and handle day-to-day contracts. · Advise on subsidy and governance issues (no prior experience required). · Manage external counsel and control legal spend. · Partner directly with commercial, funding, innovation, and policy teams, acting as a trusted legal sounding board across the business.
