In-House Debt Recovery Litigation

In-House Litigation Lawyer - Debt Recovery A large UK group is seeking a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (with litigation practice rights) to join the business in a newly created in-house role focused on debt recovery litigation. This position has been created as the business brings its debt recovery litigation fully in-house. You will take ownership of the litigation process from issuing proceedings through to enforcement, working closely with finance and operational teams while advising on the most effective recovery strategies. Key responsibilities · Managing a caseload of debt recovery matters · Drafting and issuing proceedings · Handling defended and undefended claims, negotiation and settlement · Advising on enforcement options · Providing practical legal advice to internal stakeholders on disputes and recovery strategy · Supporting the business in developing a consistent and effective approach to litigation and debt recovery About you · Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or Chartered Legal Executive with litigation practice rights · Experience handling debt recovery or civil litigation matters · Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules · Comfortable managing your own caseload and working autonomously · Commercial, pragmatic approach to dispute resolution Additional information · Newly created role with the opportunity to shape how litigation is handled internally · Flexible working arrangements with a good level of remote working available · Competitive salary and benefits package · Opportunity to develop within a large, multi-brand organisation If you would like to learn more about the role and organisation, please get in touch for a confidential discussion.
