Senior Legal Counsel

Growing, acquisitive business | Bedfordshire / Hybrid | £70k + bonus I'm currently working with a growing UK business to recruit a Senior Legal Counsel into their established in-house legal team. This is a broad commercial role within a business going through significant growth and transformation, including acquisitions, new service lines and wider strategic projects. Legal has strong visibility internally and works closely with senior leadership across the organisation. The role will involve drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts, advising on procurement, bids and tenders, and supporting strategic projects and wider corporate matters. About you: The business is open-minded on background and qualification level. They are primarily looking for someone commercial minded, confident operating in a fast-moving environment, and able to operate autonomously. You might be: · An experienced in-house lawyer seeking broader exposure · A commercial contracts specialist who enjoys autonomy · A construction lawyer with transferable commercial skills · Someone operating below Senior Legal Counsel level who is ready for a step up Previous in-house experience is strongly preferred, although candidates moving from private practice or the public sector with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
