SHIPPING SOLICITOR - NEWCASTLE A specialist Shipping firm in Newcastle is on the lookout for a dedicated Shipping Solicitor, NQ-4 years PQE, to join their illustrious marine team. Revered by the global marine sector's elite - from marine insurers and ship operators to ports and terminal representatives, this esteemed practice is entering a period of growth, looking for two Solicitors at a junior and senior level to join them. Imagine being part of a cohort of solicitors and barristers whose combined expertise spans the full spectrum of maritime law, both wet and dry. Here, legal prowess is not just expected but honed to perfection, ensuring that every case is navigated with precision and skill. In this role, candidates will immerse themselves in a variety of marine matters, with a particular emphasis on Protection & Indemnity (P&I) and Freight, Demurrage & Defence (FD&D). The position entails conducting thorough case reviews, managing cases with finesse, and undertaking comprehensive research. Moreover, drafting legal advice and contracts, preparing arbitration and court documents, and advising on enforcement will be key responsibilities.
