What You'll Be Doing You will join the Civil Liberties special interest group, handling cases against the police, local authorities, and inquests. Your role will involve running your own caseload and supervising junior colleagues. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with public lawyers from various practice areas, including health and social care, education, personal injury, and court of protection. The firm supports diverse funding options like legal aid and conditional fee arrangements, ensuring access to justice for all clients. Skills and Experience Required - Proven experience in civil liberties, public law, and human rights. - Expertise in bringing actions against the police, local authorities, and inquests. - Commercial awareness and an interest in business development. - Confidence to engage with the media, supported by the firm's press team. - Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload. - Resilience and calmness when working with vulnerable clients, always prioritising their needs.
