COMMERCIAL PROPERTY SOLICITOR - DURHAM/DARLINGTON/MIDDLESBROUGH A well-established and highly regarded regional law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor (minimum 5 years' PQE) to join its growing team across its North East and North Yorkshire offices. The firm prides itself on delivering clear, practical, and commercially focused advice in what can often be a complex and fast-moving market. Its solicitors are known for their expertise, foresight, and commitment to achieving favourable outcomes for clients, guiding them through transactions with confidence and clarity. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute solicitor looking to take the next step in their career within a firm that has deep-rooted expertise and a strong presence in the local property market. The firm is recognised for its extensive and in-depth knowledge of commercial property across North Yorkshire, Teesside and County Durham, built on many years of advising clients throughout the region. The Opportunity The successful candidate will work across a full spectrum of Commercial Property work. You will work closely alongside the firms resident Commercial Property Consultant, and in future this role will allow you to have full autonomy over the work and its direction. The role offers high-quality instructions across a broad range of matters, including: Acquisitions and disposals of commercial property Landlord and tenant work, including lease negotiations Property finance and secured lending Development projects Portfolio management Liaising with the Land Registry and local authorities Advising on contracts, financial arrangements, and strategic property matters The firm acts for a diverse client base, ranging from SMEs to larger regional and national businesses, and has experience handling both individual and multi-property transactions. This role will suit a solicitor who: Has at least 5 years' PQE in commercial property Is confident managing a varied caseload independently Is well-connected within the North East and/or North Yorkshire with a proven ability or clear ambition to generate work Is motivated to build upon an existing client base and develop new relationships Demonstrates strong commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving Has excellent communication and client care skills An interest or experience in agricultural or farming-related property work would be advantageous, as the firm also offers a dedicated service in this area.
