PERSONAL INJURY SOLICITOR - SUNDERLAND
An established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Personal Injury Solicitor to join its Sunderland office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor a minimum of 2 years PQE to handle a broad range of claimant personal injury matters, including road traffic accident and employer liability claims. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload independently, delivering an efficient, high-quality and client-focused service while contributing to the continued growth of the Personal Injury department.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing a full caseload of claimant personal injury matters from initial instruction through to settlement or trial where appropriate.
- Handling a range of cases including road traffic accident and employer liability claims.
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, providing clear, practical legal advice throughout the claims process.
- Investigating liability and quantum issues, obtaining appropriate supporting evidence.
- Liaising with clients, insurers, medical experts, counsel and other third parties.
- Reviewing medical evidence and preparing schedules of loss.
- Negotiating with insurers and opponents to achieve favourable outcomes for clients.
- Drafting court documents, witness statements and pleadings where required.
- Managing litigation proceedings, ensuring compliance with court directions and procedural deadlines.
The successful candidate will
- Be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx).
- Have proven experience managing a claimant personal injury caseload independently.
- Have strong technical knowledge of personal injury litigation and the Civil Procedure Rules.
- Be experienced in handling personal injury, road traffic accident and employer liability claims from instruction to conclusion.
- Have strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
