About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and commercially astute solicitor with 2 to 4 years' post-qualification experience to join a leading Healthcare Litigation & Regulation team in Dublin. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a highly regarded practitioner in professional indemnity and medical defence, who consistently ranks in Chambers Europe and Legal?500
You will handle a balanced mix of contentious and advisory work, including:
Defence of medical malpractice and professional negligence claims in the High Court, regulatory tribunals, and inquests.
Advising on investigations by bodies such as the Medical Council, HIQA, and HSE.
Guidance on healthcare regulation and compliance matters, including clinical governance, data protection (FOI/DPA), and medicinal product licensing.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support medical negligence defence cases, often involving high-profile practitioners and multi-million-euro settlements.
Represent clients in professional misconduct hearings, inquests, tribunals, and judicial review proceedings.
Provide clear, pragmatic advice on healthcare regulatory issues, including record-keeping, ethical policies, FOI, and data protection.
Draft pleadings, manage expert evidence, attend court, and collaborate with the senior team on strategy and mediation.

Candidate Profile
2-4 years' PQE, with solid exposure to medical defence, clinical negligence, regulatory, or related professional indemnity work.
Strong litigation background, including court advocacy and tribunal representation.
Excellent analytical, drafting, and client-communication skills.
Interest in healthcare regulation and exposure to clinical governance or data protection advisory work is a plus.
Collaborative mindset with adaptability, resilience, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
