Construction Associate, Dublin
An established and growing law firm with a strong presence in Dublin is looking to expand its Construction practice with the addition of a talented Associate (2+ PQE). This opportunity will suit a construction lawyer who is looking for a mix of high-quality work, early client contact, and genuine scope for career progression in a supportive and collaborative team.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will join a well-respected construction team that operates across both contentious and non-contentious matters. You'll advise a diverse and high-profile client base including developers, contractors, funders, public bodies, and corporate entities, with mandates covering infrastructure, energy, development projects, and more.
The work is varied and intellectually engaging, spanning contract drafting and negotiation, risk management, and dispute resolution (including adjudication, conciliation, and litigation). You'll also be exposed to projects involving standard forms such as JCT, NEC, RIAI, and FIDIC, as well as bespoke agreements.
The firm has built a reputation for empowering lawyers early in their careers, giving them autonomy and responsibility with structured training and strong internal mentoring.
Why Consider This Role?
· Work alongside a close-knit team of Partners and senior lawyers with deep expertise in the construction sector
· Gain early client exposure and take ownership of matters with real commercial impact
· Join a firm that is actively investing in its Dublin office and sees Construction as a strategic area of growth
· Collaborate with other departments such as Real Estate, Banking, and Corporate on major project work
· Enjoy flexible working, internal career progression, and high-quality legal work across a range of sectors including residential, life sciences, energy, and infrastructure
What We're Looking For
· A qualified solicitor with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience in construction law (Ireland or common law jurisdiction)
· Strong drafting skills and the ability to advise confidently on construction-related agreements and disputes
· Experience with both contentious and non-contentious matters is ideal, though those with a preference for one or the other will also be considered
· Commercially minded with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in growing client relationships
· A proactive team player who is looking to develop within a high-performing but down-to-earth environment
