NQ Solicitor - Technology & Data Protection We are seeking a newly qualified solicitor with exposure to commercial technology and a strong interest in data protection. This role will focus primarily on data protection matters, and applicants are required to have gained experience in this area during their training contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious NQ to specialise in one of the most dynamic areas of law, working on high-profile transactional and advisory matters. Role Overview: The successful candidate will work on a range of commercial technology matters with a particular focus on data protection, including: Advising on data protection compliance and GDPR matters in commercial contexts Drafting and negotiating data protection clauses in commercial agreements Assisting with cross-border data transfers, regulatory compliance, and breach management Supporting clients on the interface between technology, automated decision-making, and profiling Advising on contractual aspects of IT projects, including design, development, implementation, and outsourcing Candidate Requirements: Qualified as a solicitor in Ireland (NQ - 2 PQE) Training contract experience that included exposure to data protection matters Strong interest in specialising in data protection and technology law Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team Strong academics This role offers exposure to high-profile clients and projects, a supportive and collaborative team environment, and excellent opportunities for professional development.
