Corporate Partner (Energy focus) - International Law Firm
Full-service international law firm with a global footprint, exceptional strength across Europe, and significant expansion plans for the Dublin office.
The Opportunity
The Dublin office of this established international law firm is entering its next phase of strategic growth. While the Irish corporate practice is already well-respected and deeply rooted, the firm is seeking a forward-thinking Corporate Partner to inject new energy, drive market share, and lead the practice into its next stage of evolution.
Energy is a core global sector for the firm. Ireland has been identified as a critical strategic hub for this practice. Consequently, the incoming Partner will not only lead local initiatives but will immediately take on a high-profile role within the firm's global energy sector group.
Key Responsibilities
· Practice Leadership: Drive the growth of the corporate energy practice in Dublin, leveraging the firm's existing international infrastructure and client base.
· Cross-Border Collaboration: Act as a key bridge between the Irish market and the firm's broader European and global energy networks.
· Client Development: Advising domestic and international clients on complex corporate transactions, joint ventures, M&A, and project developments within the energy sector (including renewables and transition energy).
· Strategic Growth: Play a foundational role in the Dublin office's expansion plans, including mentoring junior talent and contributing to lateral hiring strategies.
Candidate Profile
· Current Corporate Partner (or an Of Counsel/Legal Director ready to step up) with a proven track record within the energy sector.
· A strong reputation in the Irish and/or European energy market, with demonstrable experience handling sophisticated corporate transactions.
· A desire for a change of direction and the ambition to utilize a massive regional and global remit to build a market-leading practice.
· Ability to operate seamlessly across a highly integrated international network.
What the firm offers
· The firm views Dublin as a central pillar of its European growth, ensuring significant investment, management support, and resource allocation.
· Immediate access to an established, top-tier global energy platform, removing the limitations of a purely domestic firm.
· A broad, unconstrained remit to shape the practice, influence strategic decisions, and make a measurable impact from day one.
