Planning Solicitor/Associate/Senior Associate BCL Legal are working with a regional law firm who are recruiting for a Planning Lawyer for their Planning & Environmental Team for their Colchester office. The practice is recognised as a leading source of Planning Law advice by both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners. The team of specialist planning law solicitors advise and represent national and regional developers, in maximising the value of land assets and in S106 negotiations with local planning authorities; local authorities in complex negotiations with developers; large companies in assisting with their commercial property strategies; individuals in supporting their plans for their home and community action groups in contesting local projects. In addition to advising developers, land owners, individuals and third parties in the private sector, the team regularly advise and represent 11 local planning authorities across Essex and Suffolk on Planning Law issues. The Department also provide strategic planning advice for developers and landowners in exploring, and securing, development potential. The Department also has solicitors advising upon nationally significant infrastructure purchase and compulsory purchase matters which you will have the opportunity to be involved in. Requirements: - Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales. - A background in Planning Law with at least knowledge of reviewing S106 Agreements. - A view to specialising in Planning should you not already be. The salary can be negotiated and is dependent on your experience and level of PQE. Flexible working arrangements and hybrid working of up to 3 days working from home.
