Commercial Property Solicitor/Associate BCL Legal are working with a well-established and highly rated Legal 500 law firm are seeking a dynamic and experienced lawyer to join their real estate team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice across various aspects of commercial property, catering to a diverse clientele including lenders, owner-occupiers, investors, and tenants. The role will involve specialised expertise in investment, residential/commercial development, property management, and the strategic retention of overage rights on disposals. The department maintains an excellent work load that includes a broad range of matters. Responsibilities: - Offer expert guidance on all facets of commercial property, ensuring clients are well-informed to make strategic decisions. - Provide specialised advice on investment opportunities, residential/commercial development, and property management. - Advise on future income generation, specifically through the retention of overage rights on disposals. - Handle property aspects tied to major corporate transactions. - Provide 'Etridge' compliant third-party advice in real estate finance. - Demonstrate a broad spectrum of sector and industry experience, with niche expertise in retail, leisure, manufacturing, and education. - Act as a key advisor for retailers with a nationwide presence. - Regularly provide counsel on portfolio expansion and management of shopping centre's, high street, and transport hub locations. Qualifications and Skills: - Solicitor in England & Wales - 2-5 years PQE in commercial property - Knowledge of investment, property development, and management. - Strong understanding of corporate transactions and real estate finance. - Sector expertise in retail, leisure, manufacturing, and education. - Proven track record of successful client representation and portfolio management.
