Senior Legal Counsel - Corporate / Commercial

This private equity owned business is at a key stage of growth, having acquired a number of businesses across the UK and are set to continue to grow, both through acquisition, and organically through market share The business is also moving from a regional based system to a more organised group structure, and so there will be significant work around harmonisation of legal systems and procedure. In short, a very exciting time to join the business This is a classic, varied in house role, where you will be reviewing, drafting and advising on a range of commercial agreements (supply, procurement, t's & c's etc) as well as assisting or leading on M&A activity as the company grows. There will also a range of other legal work from general high level advice to key stakeholders in the business, regulatory matters, corporate governance and risk management, and upskilling and training employees on various legal issues. A broad range of commercial experience is needed (it is anticipated you'll have at least 4 years' pqe) and given the continued expansion, I would be delighted to talk to lawyers from a corporate as well as commercial or projects background, as such a skillset could be very useful. With several facilities based across Yorkshire and the North West, there will be some travel from time to time, but this role is predominantly home based. It is anticipated a group level office location will be established in the next 12 months or so, if you prefer to work in an office environment.
