You've already built a strong foundation in finance law, the next question is simple: what do you want more of?
More variety? More complex transactions? More exposure to aviation finance? More time working with the people actually running the deals?
This opportunity offers all four.
Join a nationally recognised structured transactions team working across structured finance, securitisation, asset-based lending and aviation finance, advising financial institutions, lenders, lessors and other market participants on sophisticated domestic and cross-border financings.
Job Purpose
Take the next step beyond pure structured finance work.
This role gives you the opportunity to work across structured finance, ABL and aviation finance within the same team, building experience across multiple financing products rather than focusing on a single area.
You'll work on sophisticated lender-side transactions, gain exposure to aviation finance as the practice continues to grow, and learn from lawyers who advise on complex financing transactions across industries, asset classes and jurisdictions.
What You'll Do
* Advise lenders, financial institutions and other market participants on structured finance and asset finance transactions
* Structure, negotiate and draft transaction documentation
* Support ABS, securitisation and related financing transactions from inception through closing
* Analyse financing structures and transaction risks
* Work on aviation finance transactions, including aircraft financings, leasing arrangements and portfolio transactions
* Coordinate with finance and corporate colleagues on complex transactions
* Manage transaction workstreams and closing processes
* Support domestic and cross-border financing matters
What You'll Need
* J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school
* Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of your preferred office
* 3-5 years of law firm experience
* Strong corporate and/or finance transactional experience
* Excellent academic credentials
* Structured finance and securitisation experience preferred
* RMBS, ABS, CLO and/or financing experience highly preferred
* Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
About the Firm
Founded more than 150 years ago, this global law firm is home to over 2,200 lawyers across North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, advising many of the world's leading financial institutions, corporates, investors and asset owners.
The firm's finance platform is particularly well regarded for bringing together capabilities that are often housed in separate practices elsewhere. Lawyers work across structured finance, securitisation, asset-based lending, aviation finance, leasing, capital markets and broader banking transactions, creating a genuinely integrated financing practice.
Within asset finance, the firm has developed a strong reputation advising airlines, lessors, banks and institutional investors on complex domestic and cross-border transactions, including aircraft acquisitions, leasing arrangements, sale-and-leasebacks and portfolio financings. The structured transactions team is equally recognised for its work across ABS, securitisations and other sophisticated financing products spanning multiple asset classes.
For you, that means exposure to a wider range of transactions, clients and financing structures than is typical in many finance teams, with the opportunity to work alongside lawyers who are recognised market leaders in their respective disciplines.
Why This Role Matters
Most associates develop experience in the matters available to them.
The strongest moves are often the ones that add something to your repertoire.
If you're already doing structured finance work, this role offers the chance to add aviation finance and broader asset finance experience without moving away from the transactions you already enjoy.
If you're currently seeing only one side of the market, you'll have the opportunity to work across a wider range of financing products and asset classes.
And if you've wanted exposure to aviation finance but haven't been able to get it in your current seat, this is a team where that work is a genuine part of the practice rather than an occasional opportunity.
