Employment Legal Director - 8+ PQE - Market leading law firm - Birmingham Market leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join its growing team in Birmingham to focus on employment matters predominantly in the commercial services, higher education, financial services and housing sectors. This opportunity is offered on a full or part-time (4 days a week), permanent basis with flexible working patterns accommodated. The Role This Employment Team has experienced significant growth over the last couple of years and that growth is set to continue. As an Employment Legal Director in this team, you would: · Act for employers, including national and multi-national organisations, supporting them to improve their employment practices and manage workforce issues, as well as defending employment litigation and seeking to mitigate risks for clients. · Be involved in internal disciplinary, grievance and capability processes. · Review policies and procedures and contracts, advising on equalities obligations. · Have conduct of Employment Tribunals. · Advise on TUPE processes. · Deliver training on a broad range of employment issues. · Build relationships, both externally with clients and across the firms' internal teams. · Supervise and mentor junior lawyers in the team. About You To be successful in your application for this Employment Legal Director vacancy, you will: · Be anywhere from about 8 years' PQE upwards. · Have experience and a keen interest in working on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters for a broad range of clients . · Have excellent organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively. · Have a good teamwork ethic. · Have the ability to supervise juniors and to contribute to the growth of the team nationally.
