The role This is a great opportunity for a 6+ years' experienced property litigator to work for a highly regarded Birmingham firm that is known for its sector focussed work, clear social purpose and established client base. The work The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with clients such as; Charities, Housing Associations, Health and Social Care, Social Businesses and Local Authorities on a range of matters to include: Commercial landlord and tenant disputes, including lease renewals pursuant to the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. Commercial property asset management matters such as alienation disputes, break notices, dilapidations, possession claims, rent arrears recovery and forfeiture. Adverse possession claims. Disputes concerning development and option agreements, easement and restrictive covenant disputes. The candidate The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and ambitious lawyer with a clear specialism litigation who can demonstrate at least six years' experience dealing with disputes ideally with a commercial property focus. With good technical knowledge of the litigation process, this role who suit a solicitor who feels comfortable running their own case load as well as supporting junior colleagues. Experience of working with public sector clients will be of particular interest but not essential. You will also be familiar with mediation and be able to advise in relation to strategy, quantum and merits relating to any claim.
