Principal Associate - Private Client (Manchester)
The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Associate to join a leading national Private Client team based in Manchester. You will manage your own caseload while also supervising junior team members and collaborating with partners on complex, high-value matters.
The work is diverse and high-profile, encompassing estate planning, tax and property ownership structures, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, trusts, and related fiduciary matters. You will advise high and ultra-high-net-worth clients and often work alongside other practice areas, such as real estate, corporate, and family teams, as well as third parties including family offices, accountants, and financial advisors.

The person
We are seeking candidates with 8+ years PQE, ideally with experience at a large regional or City firm. The successful candidate will be:
Confident and self-managed, able to set and prioritise their own workload.
Exceptional in both written and verbal communication, capable of explaining complex matters clearly to varied audiences.
Experienced in building sustainable relationships with clients, colleagues, and third parties.
Organised, methodical, and detail-oriented.
A collaborative team player who is willing to take on new challenges.
Key responsibilities
You will advise high-net-worth individuals and trustees on a range of matters, including:
Estate and succession planning
Family investment companies and partnerships
Inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning
Complex Will drafting
Trustee powers and duties and the establishment of trusts
Estate administration
