Senior Litigation Attorney - Insurance & Civil Defence Texas | Full-Time | Remote / Hybrid Considered A Texas-based litigation boutique is looking to appoint a Senior Litigation Attorney to join its growing insurance and civil defence practice. The firm has an established reputation for handling complex, high-value litigation matters across insurance defence and commercial disputes. This is a senior, hands-on role suited to an experienced litigator who is comfortable taking ownership of files, leading strategy and operating with a high degree of autonomy. This opportunity would suit a trial-ready attorney with strong insurance defence experience who is looking for a more agile platform with the flexibility to operate remotely and the ability to work closely with senior leadership on key matters. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of complex civil litigation matters from inception through to resolution Lead on insurance defence files including personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability and trucking/transportation matters Act as lead or first-chair counsel where appropriate, including trial and arbitration work Advise insurer and corporate clients on litigation strategy and risk Handle discovery, motions practice, depositions and settlement negotiations Support wider team matters and provide informal supervision where required Contribute to client development and existing insurer relationships (where applicable) Candidate Profile 10+ years' litigation experience, ideally within insurance defence or civil litigation Strong trial experience, including first-chair matters Background in personal injury, premises liability, wrongful death and/or transportation litigation Carrier-side experience highly advantageous Former prosecution experience considered a strong plus Texas qualified and in good standing Confident operating independently with minimal oversight Existing client relationships or book of business advantageous for senior/partner-track consideration The Opportunity This is a senior-level position within a lean, litigation-focused platform offering genuine autonomy, flexibility and direct access to leadership. Remote working is available for the right candidate, subject to experience and jurisdictional requirements.
