Complex Litigation Attorney

Commercial Litigation Associate - Houston I'm currently working with a highly regarded US law firm that is continuing to grow its Houston office and is looking to add to its Commercial Litigation team. The firm is looking at candidates across Associate through Senior Associate level, so the key consideration is strong commercial litigation experience rather than a strict PQE requirement. This is a good opportunity for someone looking to work on complex, high-value commercial disputes within a sophisticated litigation practice, with meaningful exposure to senior lawyers and the opportunity to take on responsibility across matters. The role You'll work across a broad range of commercial disputes, with involvement throughout the litigation lifecycle, including: Conducting legal research and developing case strategy Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs and other substantive legal documents Managing written discovery and document review Preparing for and participating in depositions Assisting with hearings, trial preparation and other court proceedings Working closely with partners on complex and high-stakes disputes Having direct client exposure and responsibility as your experience develops What they're looking for JD from an ABA-accredited law school Admission to the Texas Bar and in good standing Commercial litigation experience gained within a recognised law firm Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills Experience with discovery, motions, depositions and/or trial preparation Someone who is keen to develop as a well-rounded commercial litigator Strong academics preferred, but the overall quality and relevance of experience will be considered The firm is open on level and will consider candidates from junior/mid-level Associate through Senior Associate, depending on experience.
