The opportunity - Legal Counsel:
This Legal Counsel position is suitable for a qualified commercial solicitor ready to immerse themselves in a wide-ranging legal and compliance role. The opportunity offers you the chance to develop your legal career in-house, and to work as a true legal business partner across a wide variety of commercial legal matters, and alongside established legal colleagues and wider business stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
· Contract & Document Management: Prepare, review, and summarise legal contracts and documentation, while contributing to the roll-out of a robust contracts management system.
· Legal Advisory & Support: Manage standard legal enquiries, keep abreast of current legal and industry developments, and support on wider legal matters, such as dispute resolution processes, legal compliance etc.
· Training & Collaboration: Develop and deliver training sessions on legal and compliance matters to varied business units, reinforcing best practices across the organisation.
· Corporate Transactions: Assist with due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, company integrations, and regulatory investigations,
· Administrative Excellence: Support the legal department with supplier onboarding, invoice management, and general administrative tasks ensuring smooth operational processes.
About you. What we're looking for:
We are seeking a UK qualified Solicitor / Legal Counsel with at least 2 years' commercial legal experience, preferably gained whilst working for a notable commercial law firm, and/or within an in-house legal environment.
You should possess a positive, solution-orientated mindset, and you should want to immerse yourself in the business, all whilst building and developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Our client is based in Cheshire, a commutable distance for Manchester, Liverpool, Chester and other locations in the North West of England.
