Commercial Litigation Solicitor (Legal Counsel)

Company: Our client is a Manchester based company that specialises in the restoration, development and letting of residential, commercial and industrial buildings in the UK and overseas. It is a family-owned and run company, and as the dedicated Commercial Litigation Solicitor (Legal Counsel) you will work closely with the people who own and run the business. Role - Commercial Litigation Solicitor (Legal Counsel) The company directors seek to recruit an experienced general commercial litigation solicitor to allow them to better manage litigious matters affecting the company and family office. As the dedicated Commercial Litigation Solicitor (Legal Counsel), it is envisaged that you will undertake a varied caseload of litigation and dispute resolution work, provide advice and strategy to the owners and key stakeholders, instruct and manage external legal counsel, and ultimately seek to reduce costs and minimise risk to the business. Working with the company owners on a daily basis, this role provides a superb opportunity to see the immediate impact of your work and guidance, and to use, grow and develop your skills and experience into other areas. About you: The hiring team are open to considering litigation solicitors with circa 7+ years' PQE, although this is a guide. Key to success in this role will be the desire and ability to work independently, and autonomously on a range of company and family office matters, plus the willingness to think outside the box to provide strategic advice and an opinion. Location: The company offices are located in Manchester city centre and, whilst an element of home-working is available, it is primarily an office based role working within a fun and dedicated team. What's on offer? The budget for this role is circa £70-90k per annum (depending on PQE) plus discretionary bonus, private healthcare, pension, 25 days holiday + 3 extra days at Christmas.
