Are you an Employment Solicitor seeking a move in-house into industry and commerce? Company: Our client is a long-standing and successful $billion business that has a burgeoning order book, involvement in nationally important projects, and significant plans for future growth in the UK and abroad. It is a well-regarded company with a down-to-earth legal team, plenty of interesting work, and scope for personal and career development. Role - Employment Counsel / In-house Employment Solicitor: The role of Employment Counsel is varied and involved, and will include day-to-day employment law advice, right to work and immigration matters, Employment Rights Act and Employment Tribunal challenges, plus wider matters to include modern slavery, GDPR, TUPE etc. The aim of the role is to support HR, operational and commercial teams, acting as a legal business partner to solve problems, mitigate risk, and to facilitate business decisions. This opportunity has come about due to internal changes and a promotion, and my client is seeking someone who can step into their shoes to assume the day-to-day employment advisory work, and support on other projects and matters as necessary. They don't expect you to be an expert in all areas of employment law, however you should be willing pick up new things, and to take a view to support business stakeholders. About you: Our client is seeking an employment solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE experience, ideally gained in a notable regional, national or international law firm, or an equivalent in-house team. You must have dealt with respondent matters for companies, and you will ideally have broad employment law experience covering both non-contentious and contentious matters. What's on Offer: The role has a stated budget (salary + car allowance) of £73k - £88k, and the wider benefits package will include a company bonus (up to 10%), employer pension contribution (7%), private medical insurance, Life Insurance of 4x salary and 27 days annual leave. Working arrangements: Our client operates a hybrid working model, with 3 days in the Greater Manchester office and 2 days from home.
