Senior Associate - Real Estate Disputes | 5+ PQE | National Law Firm | Birmingham
BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a top-tier national law firm seeking a Senior Associate to join its high-performing Real Estate Disputes team in Birmingham. This is a rare opportunity to work on a diverse and intellectually stimulating caseload, advising a prestigious client base including developers, investors, public sector bodies, and educational institutions. This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis with hybrid working as standard.
The Role
As a Senior Associate in the Birmingham team, you will:
Advise on a wide variety of real estate disputes including possession, forfeiture, lease renewals, rights of way, rent reviews, and option disputes.
Act for high-profile clients across commercial sectors, healthcare, charities, and education.
Provide strategic, preventative advice as well as managing disputes through litigation or alternative dispute resolution.
Work closely with the firm's highly regarded non-contentious real estate and private client teams.
Take matters through High Court, County Court, and First-tier/Upper Tribunal proceedings.
Contribute to business development activity including seminars, networking, and client relationship management.
Supervise junior lawyers and collaborate with colleagues across the national team.
About You
To be considered for this Real Estate Disputes Senior Associate role, you will have:
5+ years' PQE with a strong background in property litigation, ideally with experience in both tribunal and court work.
A technically excellent and commercially minded approach to property issues.
Confidence in managing your own matters and supporting on complex cases.
Strong drafting, communication, and analytical skills.
A pragmatic, client-focused mindset with a genuine interest in real estate law.
Experience in supervising junior lawyers and contributing to team growth.
