Associate - Employment Team | 1-3 PQE | National Law Firm | Birmingham/Hybrid
BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a leading national law firm that is looking to recruit an Employment Associate for its highly regarded Birmingham office. The Role
As an Associate within this successful and well-established Employment team, you will work on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters for clients across the public and private sectors. Key responsibilities include:
· Providing strategic and day-to-day HR and employment law advice
· Drafting employment contracts, handbooks, and internal policies
· Managing Employment Tribunal claims from start to finish
· Supporting employment aspects of corporate and real estate transactions
· Handling data subject access requests and compliance issues
· Taking part in business development and marketing initiatives
· Contributing to internal and external training sessions and legal updates
· Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
· Adhering to Lexcel and departmental file management standards
· Actively participating in team and firm-wide training
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
· 1-3 years' PQE with solid experience in employment law
· A background advising commercial and/or public sector clients (desirable)
· Excellent drafting, communication, and analytical skills
· A strong commercial mindset and client-focused approach
· The ability to manage a varied and busy caseload effectively
· A collaborative nature and a desire to contribute to a growing team
· Enthusiasm for business development and marketing activity
