Senior Employment Solicitor - 4+ PQE - National Law Firm - Birmingham / Hybrid Working
A highly regarded national law firm is seeking a Senior Employment Solicitor to join its top-ranked Employment, Pensions and Immigration team based in Birmingham. This opportunity is offered on a full-time, permanent basis with hybrid and flexible working arrangements (typically 2-3 days in the office). The Role
This is a great opportunity to be part of a nationally recognised team that advises over 120 universities, colleges, and academies, as well as clients in the healthcare, automotive, retail, and manufacturing sectors. As a Senior Employment Solicitor, your key responsibilities will include:
Advising employer clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
Leading on Employment Tribunal litigation and strategic advisory matters
Supporting junior lawyers through supervision and mentoring
Delivering client training sessions and contributing to legal updates
Engaging in business development and relationship management initiatives
Working closely with colleagues across multiple offices as part of a large national team
Training and support will be provided on sector-specific issues, so previous experience in education or health and care is welcome but not essential.
About You
To be considered for this position, you will:
Be a qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 4 years' PQE in employment law
Have experience managing a caseload of both tribunal claims and advisory matters
Be confident supervising junior colleagues and contributing to team development
Demonstrate strong technical skills, commercial awareness, and client focus
Show enthusiasm for building and maintaining client relationships
Have excellent communication, drafting, and organisational skills
