Employment Associate/Senior Associate | 4-8 PQE | Market-Leading Law Firm | Birmingham BCL Legal is pleased to be assisting a market-leading national law firm seeking a 4-8 PQE Employment Associate or Senior Associate to join their growing team in Birmingham. This permanent role is available full-time or part-time (minimum 4 days per week) with a fully flexible hybrid working model. The Team The Employment, Pensions, and Immigration team is a market leader, supporting a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors. With consistent year-on-year growth, they advise national and multinational organisations, focusing on employee relations, employment practices, and workforce management. The team handles both contentious and non-contentious matters, defending employment claims and mitigating risks. The Role You will join the national employment practice and work across key sectors including commercial services, higher education, financial services, and housing. Opportunities to advise on health and social care, NHS frameworks, and local/central government matters may also arise. You will handle a broad spectrum of employment law issues in a multidisciplinary setting. What We Are Looking For 4-8 years' PQE in employment law, with experience in both contentious and non-contentious work Interest in working within sectors such as health and social care, higher education, financial services, and housing Experience advising on complex employment issues including employee relations, TUPE, and tribunal proceedings Strong client management skills and enthusiasm for business development Ability to supervise junior lawyers and contribute to team growth Work-Life Balance The firm offers a fully flexible working environment with a hybrid model to support balance between professional and personal life. Core hours are 9:00 AM to 5:15 PM, Monday to Friday.
