A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its highly ranked Employment team in Birmingham. This is a permanent position with flexible hybrid working options available.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a collaborative and Chambers Band 1-ranked team offering a wide range of high-quality employment law work with major UK and international clients.
The Role
This position sits within a growing national Employment Practice Group advising an impressive and diverse client base including:
FTSE and Fortune 500 companies
Public sector organisations and educational institutions
Clients across sectors such as retail, technology, education, healthcare, and financial services
The work spans both contentious and non-contentious matters and can be tailored to suit the successful candidate's interests. Areas may include:
Day-to-day HR and employee relations advice
Employment litigation and tribunal claims
Cross-border employment projects and international restructures
Immigration and education sector work
Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and procedures
Industrial relations and collective consultation matters
You will also play a key role in supporting junior team members and contributing to business development and client relationships.
The Candidate
Qualified solicitor with 4-8 years' PQE in employment law
Experience handling both advisory and contentious employment matters
Confident communicator with strong drafting and negotiation skills
Able to manage matters independently and contribute to team development
Commercially minded and comfortable working with high-profile clients
Proactive, collaborative, and eager to contribute to a leading practice
