Commercial Disputes Associate - Birmingham | 1-5 PQE | Global Law Firm A leading international law firm is looking to recruit an Associate into its Commercial Dispute Resolution team in Birmingham. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly regarded practice, working on complex, high-value disputes with both national and international reach. The Role As an Associate in the Birmingham disputes team, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse caseload, including: High-profile commercial disputes across a wide range of sectors, such as energy, utilities, industrials, technology, and consumer businesses. Opportunities to develop expertise in areas such as international arbitration, supply chain disputes, product liability, technology and outsourcing disputes, and civil fraud. Responsibility for managing your own matters, while also collaborating on some of the firm's most significant mandates with larger teams. Direct client contact, including running hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and providing strategic advice. Involvement in business development and client relationship building, contributing to the growth of the team. Candidate Requirements The firm is seeking to appoint a bright, ambitious lawyer with: Strong academics and quality training, ideally in commercial dispute resolution. Between 1-5 years' PQE, with experience across a range of commercial disputes. A proactive approach and the flexibility to handle a variety of work. Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships. Exposure to business development and a genuine interest in developing this further.
