A leading national law firm is seeking a Senior/Managing Associate to join its highly regarded Employment team in Birmingham. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a Chambers UK and Legal 500 ranked practice, working alongside recognised "Leading Individuals" and handling complex, high-quality employment law matters. Flexible and hybrid working is available, with options for both full-time and part-time hours.
The Role
As a senior member of the Employment team, you will:
Lead on complex Employment Tribunal claims (predominantly acting for Respondents)
Advise employers on disciplinaries, grievances, restructures and redundancies
Provide employment law support in TUPE matters, corporate transactions and outsourcing arrangements
Enforce post-termination restrictive covenants
Draft employment contracts, consultancy agreements, settlement agreements and related documentation
Collaborate with senior colleagues on business development initiatives
Supervise and mentor junior team members, supporting their growth and development
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be:
A Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) with 5+ years' PQE in employment law
Experienced across both contentious and advisory employment work
A strong communicator with excellent drafting and organisational skills
Client-focused, commercially minded and capable of building lasting relationships
A supportive team player with proven experience supervising junior colleagues
Ambitious to play a senior role in a growing and highly ranked employment practice
