Employment Associate | 2-4 PQE | Birmingham
A leading national law firm is seeking an Employment Associate to join their growing Employment, Pensions & Immigration team in Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time role with flexible hybrid working, offering exposure to a broad range of employment law matters across both contentious and non-contentious work.
The Role:
Advise on employment matters across healthcare, local government, financial services, higher education, housing, and commercial sectors.
Manage your own caseload, including Employment Tribunal claims, grievances, disciplinary matters, redundancies, TUPE processes, and settlement negotiations.
Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
Advise on employee relations issues, equalities legislation, and restructuring processes.
Support business development and client relationship management initiatives.
Work collaboratively with partners and colleagues across the firm's national offices.
Candidate Requirements:
Qualified solicitor with 2-4 years PQE in employment law.
Experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment work.
Case management experience, including drafting pleadings and supporting tribunal processes.
Strong understanding of equalities legislation, employment law, and best practice.
Excellent communication and client management skills.
Commercially aware with an interest in business development.
Ability to work independently while collaborating within a supportive team.
