Employment Associate / Senior Associate | 3+ PQE | Birmingham We are working with a highly regarded national law firm seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE to join its top-ranked Birmingham team at Associate or Senior Associate level. This is an excellent opportunity to join a Tier 1 employment practice advising leading education institutions and a broad range of commercial clients on complex and high-profile matters. The Role: Advise on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. Manage Employment Tribunal claims from inception through to conclusion. Provide day-to-day advisory support on employee relations, disciplinary, grievance, restructuring and strategic HR matters. Act for a substantial client base of universities, colleges and educational institutions across the UK. Support a diverse commercial client portfolio across sectors including health and care, automotive, manufacturing, retail and more. Deliver client training sessions, seminars and legal updates. Assist with business development initiatives and help grow the firm's profile across key sectors. Collaborate with colleagues across a large national employment, pensions and immigration team on cross-office matters. Candidate Requirements: Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE in employment law. Strong experience gained within a reputable employment practice. Experience handling both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. Ability to manage Employment Tribunal matters with appropriate autonomy. Commercially aware with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines. Collaborative team player with the confidence to build strong client and internal relationships. Desirable Skills: Experience advising education sector clients or public sector employers. Previous experience supervising or delegating work to junior team members. Interest in business development, networking and client training initiatives.
