Employment Partner | Leading National Law Firm | Birmingham BCL Legal are excited to be working with a leading national law firm as they look to recruit an Employment Partner into their highly regarded Employment team in Birmingham. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer with an established client following or strong referral network to join one of the UK's leading employment practices and play a key role in its continued growth. About the Role The Birmingham Employment team is seeking an experienced Partner to support the continued expansion of its nationally recognised practice. Advising a diverse client base ranging from PLCs and major national businesses to SMEs and owner-managed companies, the team provides strategic, commercial advice across the full spectrum of employment law. In this role, you will be responsible for: Leading on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters for a varied client base. Building upon your existing client following and/or strong referral network to further develop the Birmingham practice. Playing a key role in the continued growth and strategic direction of the Employment team. Developing and maintaining long-term client relationships while identifying new business opportunities. Supporting, mentoring and developing junior lawyers within the team. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm's national Employment, Pensions and Immigration practice to deliver seamless, high-quality advice. Contributing to business development initiatives and helping to strengthen the firm's profile within the Birmingham market. The Team The Employment team forms part of the firm's nationally recognised Employment, Pensions and Immigration practice, comprising more than 50 specialists across 12 UK offices. The team is highly regarded within the legal market and is recognised by the leading legal directories for the quality of its work, technical expertise and outstanding client service. About You To be considered for this opportunity, you will have: Significant post-qualification experience in employment law at Partner level, or be an experienced Legal Director seeking Partnership. An established client following and/or a strong referral network. A strong track record of business development and client relationship management. Excellent technical employment law expertise and commercial awareness. The ability to mentor and develop junior lawyers.
